The road to a more sustainable future requires concrete actions and strong collaboration – and fortunately, Herning Municipality is filled with both. We must remember to celebrate and honor this.
One of the ways we do this is through the ESG conference – a joint initiative created in collaboration between Bæredygtig Herning, Vestjysk Bank, and the Herning & Ikast-Brande Business Council. Together, we have focused on businesses that are leading the way in sustainability and responsibility – in terms of E, S, and G. The conference is a tribute to those who make a difference, but also a place where inspiration thrives and new ideas come to life.
In early November, Bæredygtig Herning’s premises became a hub for dialogue and learning. We gathered local businesses, experts, and stakeholders for this year’s ESG conference. Here, several companies showcased the way forward with their concrete solutions, while others left with ideas on how they can contribute to a more sustainable future. The goal was to become wiser together and find solutions that make a difference for both the environment and our local communities.
Colour Compagniet Wins the ESG Prize 2024
The conference culminated in the awarding of the ESG Prize 2024 – a prize that recognizes companies making a special effort within ESG work. This year, the well-deserved prize went to Colour Compagniet A/S from Kibæk.
The jury faced a tough task this year, as the pool of nominees was particularly strong due to the many impressive ESG initiatives. After careful consideration, Colour Compagniet was selected as the winner based on their targeted and innovative work within sustainability and social responsibility.
Colour Compagniet has achieved impressive results, including:
-
A 25% reduction in energy consumption through energy-saving measures and material recycling.
-
A 23% reduction in total CO₂ emissions, equivalent to 176 tons.
-
A strong focus on social responsibility, where the company creates inclusive workplaces for employees with various challenges.
With their efforts, Colour Compagniet demonstrates how innovation, sustainability, and social responsibility can go hand in hand to create concrete results that benefit both the company and the local community.
